CAT 2018 Summary

“Common Admission Test (CAT) is national-level management entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes. Apart from 20 IIMs, CAT scores are used for admission to various management institutes across the country. CAT 2018 exam will be conducted on November 25, 2018 in an online mode. Last year CAT exam was conducted by IIM Lucknow and this year, it will be conducted by IIM Calcutta. The exam will be conducted in two sessions – forenoon and afternoon.

IIM Calcutta released the CAT 2018 admit card today at 1 pm. Registered candidates can download their admit cards by using their CAT user ID and password. Mock test for CAT 2018 exam was released on October 17, 2018 on the official website. The registration for CAT exam got over on September 26, 2018. The registration for 2018 has gone up by 10000 to 2.41 lakh from 2.31 lakh last year.”

CAT Exam Pattern 2018

“CAT Exam Pattern – CAT 2018 will be held on November 25, 2018 in two sessions: forenoon and afternoon. The forenoon session will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and the afternoon session will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. IIM Calcutta has advised candidates to go through CAT exam pattern carefully to be able to understand what they can expect in CAT exam 2018.

Candidates who wish to appear for the CAT 2018 exam must familiarise themselves with CAT exam pattern 2018 before the actual exam to sail through it easily. Candidates are advised to check CAT marking scheme and test duration in advance to avoid any last minute hassle. “

CAT Exam Pattern 2018 Highlights

CAT 2018 will be conducted in online mode only. The total number of questions in the exam paper will be 100 and candidates will get 180 minutes to answer the questions. There is a sectional limit of 60 minutes for each section.
